Church Luncheon ... May 20, 2007 |
The church had another of it's famous luncheons. This time it was to kick off the Chapel's Building Fund. This fund will be used to finance the planned renovation and updating of the buildings. As funding increases various parts of the buildings will be refurbished. A goal of $50,000 was set by the building committee. Initial donations as of this date amounted to over $9,000, a good start. Below are some photos of the event. |
This chart, located in the foyer of the Chapel will be updated occasionally to show to progress of the Building Fund. |
Here's Bruce, the official Food Tester, checking the goodies. He gave the okay to everything but added that the fillet mignon needed a grain or two more of sea salt. |
Bob Crawford had to agree with Bruce and said that the fried chicken was better than that which his grandson, Colonel Sanders. makes. Bob recently celebrated his 95th birthday !! |
Florence and Frank had to agree, "This is GOOD chow!!!" Notice Frank is wearing his beautiful bib ...made by the lovely hands of Florence. |
This is a photo of the dessert table.. taken BEFORE the doors opened. It didn't take long for these delectable goodies to disappear. |
A very quiet luncheon. Everyone was too busy eating the delicious appetizers, entrees and desserts to talk much. |
Rita said she was glad Bruce was the official food tester for this event. Now she won't have to cook meals for him for at least two days. |
