Red Lion Faith Chapel
~~~ Community Day ~~~
          July 8, 2006
    Red Lion Faith Chapel celebrated it's third annual  Community Day by inviting the local communities to be our guest for a day of free fun, food and frivolity and to share in our joy.  And, once again the celebration was a huge success with visitors from all over the area.
    So many wonderful people in our congregation helped to make this event a success that  it is difficult to name them all.  However, as usual, Donna Westcoat's organizing talents took effect and  created a finely tuned activity which was appreciated by all.
It consists mainly of pictures taken before and during the day's activities. Rita Smith is credited with being the offical photographer this year and all the pictures here (with a few minor exceptions) are  her creations.
Here's the Balloon Brigade .. getting ready for action!
Pssst.. Dave, lets grab us a few of these before they dissappear.
Aren't they pretty ?  The balloons too!
Directions:  Take one yellow duck and throw it over the tent and try to get it in the hoop.
Directions:  Toss a bottle at the ring without hitting the operator. ( I think.)
Directions:  Get up on one peg and tippy-toe over to the next peg and so on.
Directions:  I have no idea how to work this one!
Directions:  Throw hay balls at the cow and hot dogs at the piggy.
Watch out for this one.. They use a 10 inch needle and a 5 pound sledge hammer to test you.
The idea here is to throw a bottle over the backboard and try to hit someone in the blue tent.
They shut this one down early.. Someone thought that they were supposed to shoot the operator.
The Bird house building table.  We ran out of Eagle and Vulture houses very quickly.
The bird house painting table.  More paint got on the kids than on the bird houses!
back here.
This way to all the fun !!!!!
Bruce is the chief balloon inspector. He makes sure the balloons don't have too much helium in them or they will pull the stakes out of the ground.  His assistants are shown here, helping him.
